Owner Interview with rockydawg07

Rockydawg07 has played HBD long enough to accumulate 234 seasons with 17 coming here in Addicted Users, he’s also won 2 world titles.  Now let’s get to know him a bit:

“Where do you live?”

“I am currently living in Raleigh, NC.  Grew up in Erie,Pa.  Retired after a 47 year career in the grocery industry.”

“Do you have a favorite ML team?”

“Cleveland Indians.  Started following them closely in 1970.  Listened to a lot of games on my old transistor radio.”

“Who is your favorite player?”

“Willie Mays was my favorite player.  Tried to emulate his style of play.  Buddy Bell was my favorite Indian at that time. Saw him his rookie year play against the Orioles and hit a 2-run homer off McNally and Perry tossed a 2-hit shutout.”

“What is your favorite baseball memory?”

“My first High School game.  My sophomore year I had pitched a couple of shut outs on the JV team and got called up to the varsity as they needed a 3rd pitcher.  Got the call in the 3rd inning when our starter got in trouble.  Came in with 1 out and men on second and 3rd and already down a run and faced the country batting champ.  Got him out and finished the game and got the win. Oh, and I had the game winning hit.”

“How did you find HBD?”

“Started playing this game I believe around 2007?  I think it was an internet ad or maybe a search that led me to this site.  Played a season or 2 in Hunt,er, got hooked and joined Addicted Users as my 2nd team.  Did have a little hiatus for a few seasons, but seems like I have been here a while.”

“How many teams are you comfortable owning at one time?”

“3 or 4 teams at most.  Although I have had as many a 7 or 8.”

“In what way do you like to build your teams?”

“I try to focus on pitching and power, although I adapt depending on my roster.  Defense up the middle is also valued.  Don't really mess around much in the international prospect scene.  Always try to get a solid Fielding Instructor.”

“Is there an HBD you think of as your favorite?”

“Favorite team has to be the Luau Dawgs way back when I first joined this world.  Had a pretty decent run with them.  Still keep in touch with many of the players from those teams. Tony Blair still watches my dogs when we go on vacation.”

“Hmm, vacation or rest home stay?  What’s your favorite part of the game?”

“The constant challenge to build your team.  Analyzing and evaluating the players.”

“If you could change one thing about the game, what would it be?”

“More flexible with the budgets.  If you had a team for more than a couple of seasons you should have more flexibility to increase / decrease.”

“Thanks rocky, appreciate you taking the time to answer my questions.”
